Karthik Seetharaman
​Instructor, Creator, Co-Founder

Karthik Seetharaman is a junior at the Massachusetts Academy of Math & Science at WPI. He is a 2x USAJMO qualifier for the top 200 underclassmen in the nation, researcher at MIT PRIMES, and alumnus of the HCSSiM and PROMYS programs. He is a member of the USACO Gold Division for the top 1000 high school programmers in the nation. He also ran an Ekal Math Bee in 2017 and 2018 at Tufts University, raising over $4000. The 2020 Ekal Math Bee, held virtually to over 300 kids internationally, was ran by Karthik and Kathir. In his free time, he enjoys pursuing piano, cello, programming, and physics.

Kathir Meyyappan
Instructor, Co-Founder

Kathir Meyyappan is a junior at Westford Academy, MA. He is an AIME qualifier and experienced teacher, having raised over $5000 in an Ekal math workshop held at Tufts University in the fall of 2017. He is featured in India New England's 2020 publication of their 20 under 20 list, which recognizes young Indian youth for their hard work in community outreach. The 2020 Ekal Math Bee, held virtually to over 300 kids internationally, was ran by Karthik and Kathir. ​In his free time, he enjoys pursuing saxophone and tennis.

Shashank Sastry
​Instructor
Shashank Sastry is a Junior at Acton-Boxborough Regional High School running Ekal's new Public Forum Debate Workshop. Shashank ran the December 2020 Linux: From Amateur to Power-User course for Ekal Vidyalaya, which was the organization’s first ever Linux system administration course; he also ran the December 2021 Introduction to Scientific Research course. Shashank enjoys participating in his school’s research club to develop novel applications for Medical machine learning, debating Varsity Public Forum for his school’s debate team, and coaching Middle Schoolers as the lead coach for RJ Grey Junior High School’s Impromptu/Debate division as well. In his free time, he enjoys cycling on hilly-backroads, building road bikes, and walking his dog Scotty.
